Programs that arrange for the authorized dispersal (scattering) of the cremated remains of an individual who has died, either at sea or in a defined area of the cemetery ground, often referred to as a scattering garden. Arrangements may include a tribute ceremony in which family and friends can gather to scatter the cremated remains at a place with special meaning to the deceased such as a wilderness area or at sea.
