Repatriation Assistance

Code: NL-1000.7200

Programs that provide limited, short-term financial assistance for U.S. citizens returning from foreign countries because they are destitute, physically or mentally ill, or threatened because of war (or the risk of war); are not eligible for other assistance programs; and do not have resources to meet immediate living expenses. The individual must initiate action while still in a foreign country by contacting the U.S. embassy or consulate located in that country.
