Lazarus House provides hospitality, food, safe shelter, and support services to men, women, and children who are homeless or in need, and who reside in or are connected to central Kane County. All Lazarus House guests are offered case management. Staff will discuss possible benefits and make referrals for those who can't work due to medical, mental health or other issues. **A Women and Children's Day Center provides separate secure space for women and children to help them focus on achieving their goals. It includes indoor and outdoor secure play and recreational space, additional bathroom facilities, more individualized attention, support and classes specific to women's issues. **General Community Services: 24 hour telephone referrals to community resources are available. A three-meal-pe- day soup kitchen is offered to community members who need to present an ID and register for this service.** The Center for Transitional Living allows more private space for individuals and families to stay together in individual rooms for up to two years with increased supportive services and case management to address the needs of participants to attain permanent independence. **Lazarus House administers grant funds to assist qualifying individuals and families with rent, utilities or security deposits needs.
