Batavia Township office administers the General Assistance Program which provides ongoing financial and medical assistance to qualifying persons. An application can sometimes be expedited if an emergency exists. Other township services include highway maintenance and tax assessments. Batavia Township includes Batavia, and parts of Aurora and North Aurora and unincorporated Kane County.

Residents of Batavia Township who are 18+ years of age with no dependent children. Must show evidence of need. There are numerous other qualifications involving assets, income and household composition. Call for information on eligibility. General Assistance cash grants are unavailable to persons who are receiving other state cash benefits such as TANF or Social Security.
