Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital is a full service facility that specializes in helping children, adolescents, adults, and older adults cope with mental health and/or addiction issues. Treatment is provided through outpatient, day hospital, and acute psychiatric and substance abuse inpatient services. Services provided include family and individual counseling, therapeutic groups, support groups, medication therapy, case management, and after care programs. Specialized mental health programs include: eating disorders, self-injury, Seniors or older adults, autism spectrum disorders, pregnancy and postpartum depression, depression, dementia. The Center for Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders provides treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Social Phobia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Phobias (fears of specific events, places, or things) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. The Center for Addiction Medicine provides inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment. Adult services include outpatient detoxification and DUI services. Adolescent services include intensive day or after school programs, school liaison, and intervention programs for experimenting teens (Family Options). Additional services address addictions to prescription medications, programming for impaired professionals (physicians, nurses, lawyers, teachers, police officers, executives) and treatment for process addictions including sex, pornography, gambling, spending and Internet use. Community education and outreach on mental health issues is provided to families and groups. Spanish is spoken.
