Hope House provides temporary shelter for men, women and families within DuPage County and all surrounding counties . Adults are required to work or to be looking for work or have an income provided through Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Social Security. The goal of shelter is for clients to live independently, to be employable and get an apartment. The average stay is 6-8 weeks with extensions based on case by case basis. Spanish is spoken.

Open to homeless men, women and families within DuPage County and surrounding counties. Special requirements apply to those with mental illnesses, substance abuse issues, and domestic violence concerns. This is not a shelter for those fleeing domestic violence.

Shelter Requirements:

Open to men, women and families. All mentally ill persons are required to be stable on medication and compliant with their medication schedule. Anyone with substance abuse issues is required to complete a 21 day treatment program before entering shelter. A person who is a domestic violence victim survivor is required to be free of domestic violence for 6 months prior to entry into shelter.
