Daybreak Center offers emergency shelter to Will County residents for up to 90 days. Individuals from other areas can only stay up to 3 nights and 3 days. If children are sheltered, the parent must show proof of parentage. Applicants need a photo ID. If no ID is available or if entry is after 9:00 pm, the person will need a police escort to enter the shelter. The Case Management Program is for residents who are accepted for their services. They can stay in residence as needed and must participate in case management services which are provided from 8:30 am-9:00 pm.

General Information


Shelter: 9:00 pm to 7:00 am daily. After 9:00 pm entry allowed only with a police escort.

Program Fees:



English only while in the shelter. Spanish interpretation is available during business hours.


Men or women with Photo ID. For women with children, proof of parentage is needed - a birth certificate or a green card from Medicaid.
