Description:

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) oversees transportation and coordination of the Metra Rail line, PACE Bus Services and the Chicago Transportation Authority services. The RTA provides information on bus and train transportation, with special programs for seniors, persons with disabilities, Medicare users, active duty military, actively drilling National Guard members and disabled veterans.**All senior fares are 50 percent off. Some seniors, who meet financial requirements, will be eligible for free rides. **Free fare for disabled residents of Illinois over the age of 16. Disabled persons should call 836-7000 from any local area code or access web site for application information. **Information is available on website in Spanish, Polish, German, French, Russian, Japanese and Korean.
